We all love whatsapp very much and if really i will be banned then we will really miss whatsapp because it’s have very importent role in our social life. ok! Let’s see what is reasons for this prediction.
WhatsApp could become illegal or banned in India
Whatsapp, which is owned by the Facebook, recently faces the major test of their legality due to encryption issues. India is the primary market of WhatsApp users and also is the most populated country in the world. The terrorism and crime are the main headache issues across the world, and India is also facing same problems.Recently battle between FBI and iPhone where encryption of messages are the biggest problem.
The End-To-End encryption means the recipient can only view all the data, calls, text Videos, audios and other documents sent, Not WhatsApp application owners can decrypt this information. So, WhatsApp with the new feature of encryption, probably banned or illegal in India.
The RTI activist is suing this major platform of a messaging application from Gurgaon, Sudhir Yadav in the supreme court for seeking the complete ban on this application. Yadav also said that before approaching the petition in supreme court, he went to India telecommunications watchdog and Telecom Regulatory Authority of India(TRAI) and ministry of communications for discussing this issue but had not yet received any answer.
According to his petition, this application of messaging help/adding the terrorism. And also Yadav said that the encrypted messages can’t be decrypted due to end-to-end encryption so terrorists can easily and safely communicate each other.
Yadav’s petition claims that Indian authorities would need combinations keys for decryption. The combination key is 115,792,089,237,316,195,423,570,985,008,687,907,853,269,984,665,640,564,039,457,584,007,913,129,639,935 required in order to break the encrypted message that is impossible even for a supercomputers.
The message cannot break which help to pass through important messages by the terrorists. Also, it is impossible to hand over the data to the government because it can’t be encrypted or broken due to an absence of keys.
The Indian supreme court was examining whether WhatsApp should ban following a public Interest Litigation(PIL) filed by the Sudhir Yadav. Now the court will hear this petition. There may be a chance that supreme court may be banned WhatsApp or may summon the WhatsApp officials to hand over the Encrypted keys to the Indian authorities.
